Hey there everypony! This is MintyStitch, new head admin! We are excited to be bringing forth some changes to PoniesPlus, and first off, we're revamping the gallery!

If you submit to the gallery, PLEASE read below for all changes!

:bulletpink: The 'Princess Celestia', 'Princess Luna', and 'Princess Cadence' folders have been condensed into one 'Princesses' folder. Art that features alicorn Twilight Sparkle still needs to go to the 'Twilight Sparkle' folder. The 'Princesses' folder is for princesses who have been established as princesses from the get-go.
:bulletred: The 'Discord' and 'Queen Chrysalis' folders have been condensed into an 'Antagonists' folder. This new folder will also include characters such as Trixie, Gilda, King Sombra, Tirek, Sunset Shimmer, The Flim Flam brothers, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, the Diamond Dogs, etc.
:bulletorange: The 'Derpy Hooves' folder has merged with the 'Secondary Characters' folder.
:bulletyellow: We've also tweaked what the 'Secondary Characters' folder will take, versus the 'Background Characters' folder. Secondary characters will now also take characters that are immensely popular within the fandom, and thus don't seem appropriate for the 'Background Characters' folder. Examples of these characters would be Octavia, Vinyl Scratch, Doctor Whooves, Lyra, Bon Bon, etc.

In addition! We are thinking of making separate folders for artisan crafts (ie. plushes, sculpts, metal working, etc) and animations. Should we do this? Or should we keep those things in the character folders? Please comment with your opinion so we can make a fair decision!

EDIT 9/20/14: The Artisan Crafts folder has been launched and is ready for submissions! This new folder includes plush toys, sculpts, metal working, paper craft, customized G4 toys, carvings, knitwear, etc. Cosplays should still go into their respective character-based folders.

Speaking of cosplay: WE NEED YOUR OPINION! Should we allow cosplays that have mainly purchased pieces (ie clothing one could find in stores online or irl that were not specifically intended for cosplay, or mass-produced cosplay wear not made by the cosplayer in question) into the gallery? Or should we only allow cosplays that have been mostly or fully hand made? We have been debating this internally and need your voice in order to decide what we should do.

Take care!
-Minty

Regarding bought cosplay: I think it should still be added into the gallery if the photo itself can be considered interesting, artistic, or basically is not supposed to show just the costume but something more.
What I personally enjoy about cosplay submissions is the quality of the photo and the story the photo is telling. :) (of course, also the quality of the cosplay!)
